Retreat is a new label from Berlin. From the people who are true to their soul, groove, deepnees and house music! As you can predict this is strictly house meets disco and some broken beat action all dwelled inside a mighty 12 inch.

They are only doing vinyls for now and they really love the music they produce. Swiss native-Kreuzberg neighbour-Quarion who is also one half of the label with Hauke Freer, is the name on the third instalment and he is again doing his broken deep house with a twist of tech and edgy grooves.

'Go Away' which is my most favorite tune in the three track EP has a real cool vocal sample and a retro sauce allover. A side 'Turn Off The Light' is the champion sound and the hit on the EP which no one will resist or may be unsure about it's perfection. 'Seems Like...' is also a very delicious piece. Sorry for repeating what I am saying over and over but this is really one of the best and freshest sounds I have heard in last 1-2 months, which makes it very special.

Carefully chosen and crafted pieces gathered to fullfill your house hunger. You know it is not very easy to find good house music these days and Retrat is a golden nugget made up of one hundred percent pure house in the laboratory. Excellent EP, excellent label. Watch out!
