What a perfect match. Da Master Blaster and Gigolo Recordings. This autumn states that Gigolo Records will have lots of fun and wind coming through its weird and delicious discography. And one of the guests is DJ Pierre aka Da Master Blaster.
I had the chance to see him live behind the decks in İstanbul. He was spinning the vinyls as he breathe. Mixing is just a matter of inhalation for him. The new Gigolo EP has three tracks, including a digital only one "Spastic Meltdown Mix".

The A side "Wildpitch" mix has lots of vocal samples, in other words snarling and growling of a man who is about to loose control. The track drives crazy as the groove starts shakin' and the oldschool looking track starts trembling. The climax of the EP is A side but if you are eager enought to wait for the B side, what you get is a Glen Underground Re-Rub again the oldschool way.

DJ Pierre is the master of the analogue sounds. The machines which have zeros in the middle. He does it as nobody else but himself. He has lost control. So do we. A very good, strong EP from Gıgolo Records. A real meltdown.
