Kris Wadsworth, only 24 years old is the name behind the fifth installment of Boe Recordings, one of the upcoming and good labels hailing from UK. His sound is well defined and high-tech on the league of Mark-Henning, Tom Ellis and just like some upcoming Romanian acts. Furthermore he's from Detroit! Full throttle and well settled arrangement with a niche groove is what we usualy get in his tracks. Especially 'White Bread' which is my most favorite in the 'Dig' EP is the exact example for the contemporary intelligence and production quality of current minimal music.

A nice groove, a high baseline and nice tricks poured all around. The equation looks easy but sounds complex and well organized. This is what you would like to get from a contemporary minimal producer and DJ. 'Macrotones' is also a nice try and the EP gets more excited with 'The Depths Of'. Kris explores differen sound territories and fashions this time approachin to Jesse Rose style sounds and plays. And the last track 'Haunted House' having rather an unoriginal name is getting you good in terms of groove and dance hunger. A very good start for Boe. Keep an eye on Kristopher Wadsworth.
