A bunch of guys doing really great music for a long time, gathered for a real dream, defining the true sound they love, and do. The way they like it, pure and direct. Sublime Porte is one of the best musical outputs showing up from Istanbul. They really like house music and dubby techno. They love Basic Channel or Marko Fürstenberg, and do you know what, they already have releases from Styrax Leaves and Thirtyonetwenty. Infact Subime Porte is İsmail Genç, Ali Gültekin and Randoman aka Okan Çoban who also has solo releases as well. They incorporated with some more friends like Dubatech and Ali Kuru to realise the new net label of Istanbul, Sublime Porte.

Here we have the third release of the label, Havantepe's psychedelic dubby journey into outer space. Just iike good contemporary dub techno artists Bvdub, Quantec or Atheus, Havantepe is one of the best. He was also included in the "Depth Perceptions Vol.1" compilation of Pronounce Records of Detroit, just like Dubatech, who also does the remix business in the "Winterschlaf" EP.

"Melody For Penelope" is the abstract German dream of dub electrics. "Hybernate" shows the capabilities of Havantepe, a real dub gem. Dubatech's treatment reaches the Offshore, more abstract yet not less tasty. And "Sonntag Morgen" the opening track, gives nearly all the definitions of contemporary dub techno production. A very well defined, more than delicious EP from Havantepe. Watch for him and Sublime Porte in the forthcoming days. I was asked to do the artwork which is a pride and delight for me. I really like this music and I bet you will too!
