Boxcutter has done such tracks full of energy and different auras. He has gathered his various intentions and interests in one LP which contains all of his talent and will inside.  The name "Arecibo Message" is about a message: "which was beamed into space via frequency modulated radio waves at a ceremony to mark the remodeling of the Arecibo radio telescope on 16 November 1974". Quite a name for an album!

"Arecibo Message" is also a wayfinder to the Planet Mu discography. You can find various production styles and approaches which has defined, changed and evolved Planet Mu sound over the years. A little bit of drill&bass, lots of electro, some glitchy acid and breakbeat or so colled jungle. A heaven of open mindedness and free play. The track"Free House Acid" will tell you everything I wanted to say. "A Familiar Sound" will tell you how big and perfect he is in dubsteb and "Lamp Post Funk" whispers what he is up to. Also not to forget "Kab 28" a blink to d&b. All good, all fresh.

Irish born Boxcutter is familiar with any of those genres listed and he is a purist. His style is so great and his debut is so tasty. It may be his dream come true. He is a hero now and his message is ready to be transmitted to all those brains who love to dance!

He has determined his playground so strictly that evert production is mostly unique as it seems to be taken from a former EP or release. But all tracks were done for this debut. This is really astonishing. His approach is more organic and analogue. We hear more vocals and the human side rather than the robotic. This is real trip, real journey to Boxcutter's mighty electro world.
