DJ'ing since i was a little kid (that refers to the early 80's) Sasse (Freestyle Man at that time) had an important role on the settling of the electronic scene in Turku and then whole Finland. Influenced from New York City and Detroit, he released his first releases from Sähkö/Puu. Then he started his own label Moodmusic and started producing under the name Sasse. In 1999 he decided to leave Finland for Frankfurt Am Main, where at that time the electronic music was very strong and evolving. He started to create a very big pool of artists and colleagues for his label.

He was a regular resident at Robert Johnson club. Then within the natural progression and current mood, he moved his mind and body to Berlin where he will meet another Henrik, Henrik Schwarz. They produced under the very new and owned label Sunday-Music. In 2005 he set up his new studio BlackHead where he concluded his delicious debut LP "Made Within The Upper Stair Of Heaven".

Full of italo and space disco influences and adorned with the vocals of Kiki, "Made Within The Upper Stair Of Heaven” had proven again that Sasse is a very talented musician and a trend maker who can create any sound scape and capable of filtering it in his creative mind to a pure, straight forward track.

Years passed, he worked, collaborated with plenty of artists and producers. While the label Moodmusic was evolving on the other side, his sound and experience had come to a point that he was capable of any sound and genre. The release of his second LP also meets the 10th anniversary of his label Moodmusic. Over 15 years experience, the experienced taste maker again turned towards the new continent and started produciing tracks.

His new LP "Toinen" which means "two' in Finnish, is Sasse's best work to date. I am saying this because this LP is in full color. Like a musical version of a Pantone color palette. You can hear nearly any form of 4/4 music. From house to disco or techno, Sasse creates a world, a scape where you can find a unique scenery every time.

"Take Me To Bologna" says that Sasse will never leave Italy and is on his way to Nature Records or Final Frontier for a real Detroit gem. This track sounds like a Marco Passarani production, very energetic, full of pads, claps and melody. "Berlin" makes the album a hommage album to the cities where he has been and performed.

All sensual, intimate visits. We can say that "Toinen" is a collection of from heart musical scketches of Sasse's spectrum. "Poneloya" tells us that he is still doing disco rather than releasing them ftom his other label Must!. "Fly" which is also one of my favorites, introduces Sasse to the darker scene where Claro Intelecto or Andy Stott are the key player. Real darkenss and sub base phase takes control.

With "Friday Sessionz" he is again back to the roots and renewing them with his current taste. "Break Up" is exactly an anthem for house music. Very prolific tunes inside the "Toinen" LP. All come together and make the perfect fauna of a perfect minded producer Sasse.
The mood expert, the head of Moodmusic. Fabrice Lig meets Spirit Catcher amd gets polished by Giorgio Moroder. This music is fantastic. "Big" also is one of the deepest tracks that you would get. No need to mention all tracks individually but "Toinen" the second long player of Finnish Berliner is like a Finnish Hamam. It is very hot inside, and nobody complains! Cause they are all having fun!
