The first 12” release in advance of Spectral’s state-of-the-union Document compilation comprises three shades of blistering tech-house from label mainstays Seth Troxler & Matthew Dear, Ryan Crosson, and Lee Curtiss.

On Seth Troxler & Matthew Dear’s “Hurt (Martinez Remix)”, the Swedish/Danish producer with the Spanish name gives the 2009 summer jam a full go-`round, turning the once spartan track into a busy rave-up, all congas and anxious energy.

On the flip, Ryan Crosson’s “Don’t Look Further” traffics in rickety cosmic soul with a two-ton thump in the low end and Lee Curtiss’ “Life Lessons” sees the Detroit producer reign it all in for a muted exercise in claps-and-kicks minimalism.
